Main Article Content
Abstract
A 36-year-old Indian woman with Obstetrics history of gravida 2 and parity 1 reported to the emergency department of the hospital on the 6th of August 2021 with presenting complaints of acute severe lower abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding with amenorrhea history for two and half months. Her previous obstetric history shows normal uncomplicated full-term vaginal delivery and she was free from comorbidities. Clinical examination shows a locally distended abdomen, tender with deep and superficial palpations. The examination of pelvic ultrasound was done, which shows an empty uterus with two live fetuses floating in the pouch of Douglas. The condition of ectopic pregnancy was explained to the patient and consent was taken for emergency laparotomy, where the 9-week live fetus was found and removed with placenta from the pelvic cavity.
